The 2015 Honda CR-V and the 2015 Honda Odyssey have both been named ‘2015 Best Cars for Families’ by U.S. News & World Report. The CR-V was named the best compact SUV for families, while the class-leading Odyssey won the minivan segment for the fifth year in a row.

Honda considers this a big win because it proves that the “Honda brand values align with the needs of family buyers in terms of performance, fuel efficiency and safety performance," according to Jeff Conrad, Honda division senior vice president and general manager.

The 2015 CR-V comes to buyers with a significant refresh, including a new Earth Dreams Technology i-VTEC engine and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), both of which improve the CR-V’s performance and fuel economy. The Touring model comes with a host of new Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive features, new interior and exterior styling, and a variety of new standard and available features designed to make the CR-V more family-friendly.

The Odyssey, already our most family-friendly vehicle, comes with many new upgrades such as increased performance; bold styling; upgraded interior tech, connectivity, and convenience features; and enhanced safety features. The addition of a six-speed automatic transmission has given the Odyssey class-leading fuel efficiency, and to help busy families even more, Honda has added HondaVAC, an in-vehicle vacuum cleaner.
